Stockport NHS Watch is a campaign group set up to monitor the NHS in Stockport.
The group regularly campaigns against cuts to Stepping Hill Hospital, protesting outside the hospital every week.
The cuts at Stepping Hill affect everyone. The ways in which they affect women do not only include women’s health, but where there are delays and women are the primary care-givers in their family, the knock-on effect is overwhelming.
On Valentine’s Day 2017, the group stepped up their campaign, spreading messages of love and support to hospital staff, accompanied by red balloons. Sweets were distributed to passers by, and “love” messages were left for staff to find on their car windscreens.
